Twin River commissioned Anthem Jackson, a Vancouver-based filmmaking duo comprised of Graham Kew and Dan Code, giving them almost total creative freedom outside of a request that they take an abstract, rather than linear, narrative direction.

Project Brief

Armed with a cheap handycam from the 90’s, two actors and an impromptu trip around Europe, we created a video for Twin’s River song ‘Settle Down’ from their album release Passing Shade ( Light Organ Records). The result is a collage of lo-fi video textures and dreamy nostalgic imagery that blends with the synthy tones of the song.

The story follows two friends as they travel across Europe in a beat-up old VW camper van. Can they make it all the way through the trip without totally ripping each others hair out and calling their friendship quits forever?
